On September 22, 2014, Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Marine Division responded to a complaint of a burned camp situated on the bank of Bayou Choupique. The preliminary investigation conducted with the assistance of the Franklin Fire Department indicates that the camp was purposefully set on fire. The camp was last seen secured and intact on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Investigators are seeking information on the person(s) involved in the crime.
