Kristen Romero, 32, 209 Chester Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on May 18, 2018 at 12:26 pm for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license and careless operation. A deputy investigated a vehicle crash on US Highway 90 in the Jeanerette area and found that Romero crashed into another vehicle. No injuries were reported. The deputy also found that Romero was driving with a suspended license. Romero was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2018.
Ryan Carr, 27, 109 Collins Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on May 18, 2018 at 2:17 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Carr turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin. A deputy transported Carr to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail on the warrant is set at $13,231.74.
Joynique Phillips, 21, 2413 Apple Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 18, 2018 at 4:44 pm for theft by shoplifting. A deputy responded to a call for service regarding a shoplifter at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that Phillips attempted to conceal items in a backpack. Phillips was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Phillips was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2018.
Ariel Darby, 22, 427 Seventh Street, Franklin, LA was additionally charged on May 18, 2018 at 10:10 pm warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal trespass. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional deputy located the active warrant for her arrest. Darby was released on a $250 bond for the warrant.
Andre Broussard, 52, 4266 LA Highway 83, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 18, 2018 at 7:33 pm for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license. A deputy observed a vehicle brake suddenly and swerve on LA Highway 182 in Franklin. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Broussard. While spwaking with Broussard, the deputy found that he was driving with a suspended license. Broussard was released on a summons to appear on court on August 15, 2018.
Devante Burden, 25, 1158 LA Highway 83, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 19, 2018 at 2:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple battery, and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy located Burden walking on LA Highway 83 in the Baldwin area and transported him to the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $5,000.
Nicole Atkinson, 32, 126 Bucks Lane, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on May 19, 2018 at 7:01 pm for simple battery.
Christopher Patterson, 18, 126 Bucks Lane. Ricohoc, LA was arrested on May 19, 2018 at 8:22 pm for simple battery.
A deputy investigating a disturbance at a residence in Ricohoc collected evidence that Atkinson and Patterson engaged in a physical altercation involving a female victim that stemmed from a verbal argument. Atkinson and Patterson were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Patterson was released on a $4,000 bond. Atkinson was transferred to another jurisdiction for housing.
Cruz Sanchez, 34, 901 Willow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 19, 2018 at 7:24 pm for speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy observed a vehicle speeding 60 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone on Yokley Road in Franklin and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy identified the driver as Sanchez and found that he was driving with a suspended license. Sanchez was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2018.
Levy Williams, III, 49, 218 Friendship Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 20, 2018 at 9:17 am for the following offenses:
- Domestic abuse battery
- Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a person under the age of 17
A deputy responded to a report of a domestic battery at a residence in Amelia and found evidence that Williams grabbed a female victim. The deputy also found that Williams was in possession of marijuana, rolling papers, and a digital scale in the presence of minors. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Williams was released on a $7,000 bond.
Kyle Parker, 35, 2718 Wilkerson Road, Haliburton, Ontario was arrested on May 20, 2018 at 9:48 pm for resisting an officer by giving false information, remaining where forbidden, and disturbing the peace intoxicated. While working an unrelated call for service at a business on US Highway 90 in Patterson, a deputy was notified that a subject refused to leave the location. The deputy made contact with the subject who gave a false name. The deputy identified the man as Parker. Parker yelled at several other subjects at the business and refused to leave despite being asked to do so. Parker was transported to the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
