St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Justin Ford, 27, 155 Nini Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 5, 2018, at 1:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft. Ford was transported from the Jefferson Parish Correctional Facility to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.
Lynn Lovell Jr., 45, 607 Kirk Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 5, 2018, at 2:34 pm for criminal damage to property. Corrections deputies responded to a disturbance in the visitation area of the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Deputies encountered Lovell and found evidence that he damaged a phone. Lovell remains incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Travis Morin, 35, 425 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 5, 2018, at 4:17 pm on a warrant for the following offenses:
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession of Schedule IV drugs (Xanax) with intent to distribute
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone)
- Illegal use of control dangerous substance in presence of a juvenile
Narcotics Section detectives made contact with Morin on a traffic stop conducted by Morgan City Police Department detectives. The warrant stemmed from an investigation initiated on April 5, 2018. Detectives executed a search warrant at Morin’s residence where they located marijuana, Xanax pills, and items drug paraphernalia. Through the investigation, detectives learned that minor children were present at the residence. Morin’s residence was located within 2,000 feet of a church. Morin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. Morin was released on a $12,000 bond.
Macy Wiggins, 19, 723 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 5, 2018, at 5:13 pm on a warrant for no license plate lights, possession of Schedule IV drugs (Xanax), and violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone). Narcotics Section detectives patrolling Bayou Vista made contact with Wiggins at a residence on Southwest Road. The warrant stemmed from an investigation initiated on January 13, 2018. Detectives conducted a traffic stop with Wiggins and found evidence that she was in possession of Xanax in a drug-free zone. Wiggins was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $1,500.
