Arrest Report, March 26, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Wilbur James Richard, Jr., 35, 194 Muriel St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 11:46 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Alprazolam, possession of drug paraphernalia (1st offense), and possession of marijuana.

Richard was located at the Morgan City Police Department Jail. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the above mentioned warrant for booking. Bond was set at $10,000.

 

Ricky Joseph Lightsey, 43, 2657 Sixth St., Berwick, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 9:31 pm on a warrant for battery of a dating partner.

Donna Sue Mayon, 53, 116 Lori Ln. #68, Patterson, La., was arrested March 25, 2019, at 9:31 pm for battery of a dating partner.

A deputy went to 116 Lori Lane #68 in Patterson, La., to conduct a follow up investigation. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Lightsey and Mayon about the altercation between the two that occurred on March 24, 2019. After speaking with both subjects, they admitted to being involved in a physical altercation with one another. Lightsey had an active warrant for battery of a dating partner. Mayon was then arrested due to her involvement in the altercation.  Both were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set on Lightsey or Mayon.

 

Stephanie Lightfoot, 56, 1800 Filmore St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on March 26, 2019, at 2:01 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy patrolling the area of Cypress Street in Amelia, La., observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. Upon conducting a traffic stop, Lightfoot was identified as the driver. A background check on Lightfoot revealed she was driving under suspension. Lightfoot was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Brennan Giandelone, 19, 101 3 B’s Lane #14, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 4:27 pm for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (over 14 grams), possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of CDS in a drug-free zone.

Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at 101 3 B’s Lane #14 in Bayou Vista, La. During the search, detectives located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The residence is located within 2,000 feet of a church. Giandelone was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Dat H. Duong, 52, 120 Glenwood St. Lot #1, Morgan City, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 5:37 pm for stop signs and yield signs violation, possession of schedule II drugs (Crack Cocaine), and violation of CDS in a drug-free zone.

Narcotics detectives were patrolling the area of Siracusaville, La., when they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Duong. After questioning Duong, he gave consent to search his vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, detectives found crack cocaine. The location of the traffic stop was within 2,000 feet of a church. Duong was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Brennan Skinner, 26, 1061 Grace St., Siracusaville, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 6:13 pm on warrants for two counts of criminal neglect of family and resisting an officer.

 

Zacolby L. Granger, 27, 1008 Grace St., Siracusaville, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 6:13 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for an expired license plate.

 

Cedric Benjamin Gant, 21, 1061 Grace St., Siracusaville, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 6:13 pm on a warrant for littering, obstruction of justice, prohibited acts/drug paraphernalia, and unlawful posting of criminal activity.

Narcotics detectives were patrolling the area of Siracusaville, La. and observed Skinner, Granger, and Gant in a yard on Grace St. Detectives knew all three suspects had warrants. Skinner, Granger, and Gant were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond set on Skinner is $3,239.41. Bond set on Granger is $100. Bond set on Gant is $20,000.

 

James P. Tassin, 48, 4016 Lake Arrowhead Rd., Harvey, La., was arrested March 26, 2019, at 12:33 am for failure to signal, possession of schedule I drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A K9 unit patrolling the Amelia, La. area when he observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the deputy identified the driver as Tassin. He appeared nervous while speaking to the deputy. The deputy asked for consent to search the vehicle, which Tassin denied. K9 Buddy was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff. K9 Buddy was alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, marijuana was found along with drug paraphernalia. Tassin was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.
