St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Ashlea Jeanette Rassat Gaudet, 34, 1683 Hwy. 317, Centerville, La., was arrested on June 24, 2019, at 9:04 am on a warrant for telephone calls-harassment.

Gaudet turned herself in on the active warrant at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse. Gaudet was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Gaudet was released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

Norma Thompson Simon, 40, 803 Lovette St., Franklin, La., was arrested on June 24, 2019, at 10:41 pm for possession of marijuana.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in Charenton, La. when he observed a vehicle without an operating passenger headlamp. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and the passenger, identified as Simon. During the investigation, drugs were found. Simon was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Jadi Guerrero Williams, 30, 101 Southwest Rd., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on June 24, 2019, at 6:47 pm on a warrant for the following charges:

• Possession of schedule 1 CDS (marijuana)
• Possession of schedule II CDS (cocaine)
• Violation of CDS law in a drug-free zone (church, school, park)
• Illegal use of CDS in the presence of a juvenile

Narcotics detectives located Williams at her residence on the active warrant. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
