St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tyrek Jamal Colbert, 21, Centerville, LA, was arrested on March 25, 2024, at 6:16 am for domestic abuse battery, obstruction of justice-tampering, and kidnapping-simple. Bail was set at $50,000.

 

Brandy Broussard, 46, Erath, LA, was arrested on March 25, 2024, at 6:16 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Jaquan Montaque Verrett, 25, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on March 25, 2024, at 5:29 pm for cyberstalking, possession of firearm/felon, and stalking. Verrett also held a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of carrying concealed weapon by convicted felon, possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute, illegal use/possession/control of weapons-crime of violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
