St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 66 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Joshua Cain Tyler, 40, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on April 1, 2024, at 11:36 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $1,422.

 

NARCOTICS

Kaven Bernard, 30, Berwick, LA, was arrested on April 1, 2024, at 8:02 pm on two MCPD warrants for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, speeding in a construction zone, and no insurance. Bernard was released on a paid fine.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
