St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Joseph Demond Wade, 47, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 3, 2024, at 1:35 pm on a warrant for assault-simple. Wade was released on a $500 bond.

 

Jacob Nathaniel Klenert, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 3, 2024, at 12:48 pm for battery of a dating partner. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Lereno Rospatric Stewart, 45, Baton Rouge, LA, was arrested on April 3, 2024, at 12:58 pm for possession of schedule IV (alprazolam), possession of schedule II (hydrocodone), and improper turn and/or failure to give required signal. Stewart was transferred to another agency.

 

Steven Wayne Davis, 48, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 3, 2024, at 3:40 pm for reckless operation, no insurance, and driver must be licensed. Davis also held an active warrant for failure to appear on the charges of improper lane usage, operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, and failure to secure vehicle registration. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
