St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 96 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Amy Ponce-Mata, 46, Amelia, LA, was arrested on April 8, 2024, at 11:09 pm for domestic abuse-child endangerment law. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

David Lenes Aucoin Sr., 46, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 8, 2024, at 7:41 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $6,626.64.

 

Jonisha Jshay Yelling, 32, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on April 8, 2024, at 6:36 pm on three warrants for failure to appear through the Baldwin Police Department. Bail was set at $1,438.

 

James Duhon III, 50, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 6, 2024, at 11:22 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamine) and theft by shoplifting. Bail was set at $6,000.

 

Ronnell Demond Williams Jr., 24, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 6, 2024, at 11:22 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of no seat belt. Williams was released on a paid fine.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
