St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Kerwin Johnson, 39, 975 LA Highway 318, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on June 13, 2017 at 5:47 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge criminal neglect of family. A correctional officer transported Johnson from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.
Michael Bender, 43, 3900 Baywood Drive, Moss Point, MS was arrested on June 13, 2017 at 10:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and improper lane usage. While booking Bender at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
Derrick Druilhet, 38, 207 John Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on June 14, 2017 at 12:01 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy assisted Baldwin Police with a report of a disturbance at a residence in Baldwin. During the joint investigation, the deputy found evidence that Druilhet grabbed a female victim and attempted to take her phone. Druilhet was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Druilhet was released on a $2,500 bond.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests:
Glen Matthews, 39, Clines Lane Lot #13, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 13, 2017 at 4:57 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section conducted a search warrant at Matthews’ residence and located a marijuana cigarette, digital scale, and rolling papers. Mathews was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.
