Narcotics & Patrol Sections Arrest 1 on Drug & Weapon Charges

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 134 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

George Patin Jr., 55, 2924 Duke Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 8, 2018 at 3:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft. Patin was transferred from the East Baton Rouge Parish prison. During the booking process, a booking deputy located a warrant for Patin’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

Taisha Duke, 35, 1015 Church Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on June 8, 2018 at 11:02 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Duke was transported from the Jeanerette Police Department and booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

 

Logan Parker, 20, 173 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 9, 2018 at 11:56 am for resisting arrest and interfering with a law enforcement investigation. Deputies patrolling St. Joseph responded to a complaint of drug activity on St. Joseph Lane. Deputies made contact with Parker while conducting the investigation. Parker made attempts to interfere with the active investigation and pulled away from officers upon being placed in handcuffs. Parker was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Parker was released on a $6,000 bond.

 

Tanya Authement, 46, 8001 Highway 182, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 9, 2018 at 1:20 pm for domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property. A deputy patrolling Amelia responded to a disturbance at a residence on Lake Palourde Road. The deputy learned that Authement was involved in a physical altercation with the victim and struck the victim several times. The deputy also learned that during the course of the altercation, Authement damage the door to the residence. Authement was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. Authement was released on at $3,000 bond.

 

Clarence Woods, 24, 504 Williams Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 9, 2018 at 11:12 pm on a Jeanerette Police Department warrant for the following offenses:

  •      Principle to aggravated armed robbery with a weapon
  •      Principle to attempted 1st degree murder
  •      Principle to aggravated assault with a firearm
  •      Principle to attempted armed robbery with a weapon

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies patrolling in the Franklin area assisted Franklin Police Department officers with a vehicle pursuit that began in the city limits of Franklin. Deputies pursued a vehicle, occupied by multiple individuals that fit the description of a vehicle being sought by the Jeanerette Police Department. Deputies pursued the vehicle at a dangerously high rate of speed from Franklin to the Burns Point area, where the vehicle crashed and suspects fled on foot. While continuing to search the Burns Point area, deputies located Woods who held an active warrant for his arrest through the Jeanerette Police Department. Woods was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Rondrick Pierre, 23, 216 East Bollard Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on June 10, 2018 at 1:38 pm for possession of marijuana. A deputy patrolling the Baldwin area responded to an unrelated call for service and made contact with Pierre. Upon coming into contact with Pierre, the deputy observed a strong odor or marijuana emitting from Pierre’s person and the vehicle he occupied. The deputy received consent to search his person and located a marijuana blunt in Pierre’s pocket. Pierre was released on a summons to appear in court on September 4, 2018.

 

Angela Perro, 52, 131 Caribbean Drive, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on June 10, 2018 at 4:58 pm on a warrant for the charge of leash law violation. A deputy patrolling the Jeanerette area responded to an unrelated call for service on Caribbean Drive. The deputy made contact with Perro and learned of an active warrant for her arrest. Perro was released on a summons to appear in court on September 4, 2018.

 

Daniel Elliot, 19, 5656 Autumn Blossom Avenue, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 10, 2018 at 3:33 pm on a failure to appear warrant for the charge of theft and possession of marijuana. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista responded to a suspicious person incident near the Bayou Vista Truckstop. The deputy made contact with Elliot and learned that he held an active warrant for his arrest. During a search of Elliot’s person, the deputy located at burned marijuana cigarette. Elliot was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Juvenile male, 15, was arrested on June 11, 2018 at 8:23 pm on a warrant for criminal damage to property and criminal mischief.

The warrants stemmed from a complaint made on June 10, 2018, where deputies received complaints of subjects throwing rocks at passing vehicles in the Centerville area. A deputy developed information that two juvenile males were responsible for the damages done to the vehicles. Both juveniles were released to their parents pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Brice Jones, 23, 173 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 9, 2018 at 12:28 pm for the following offenses:

  •      Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of MDMA with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of clonazepam
  •      Possession of drug paraphernalia
  •      Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses
  •      Illegal possession of stolen firearms
  •      Illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
  •      Violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance in drug free zone

 

During an investigation initiated by patrol, Narcotics Section detectives executed a search warrant on a vehicle at 173 St. Joseph Lane. Detectives made contact with Jones and learned that the vehicle belonged to him. During the search of the vehicle detectives located a loaded .38 caliber revolver, five bags of marijuana, digital scales, MDMA pills, clonazepam pills, and $622 cash. Detectives found evidence that the items belonged to Jones. Jones was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
