Arrest Report - July 11, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Quincy Sam, 36, 421 Nolan Dushek Drive, Lafayette, LA was arrested on July 10, 2018, at 8:42 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Highway 87. The deputy made contact with the driver, Sam, and learned of an active warrant for his arrest. Sam was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. Bail is set at $1,600.

 

Jerome Reed, 29, 5435 Avery Island Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on July 10, 2018, at 2:24 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  •      Possession/distribution of a legend drug
  •      Possession of methamphetamine
  •      Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor
  •      Possession of drug paraphernalia

A deputy made contact with Reed at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse. Reed was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. Bail is set at $6,500.

 

Crystal Billiot, 42, 129 Shannon Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 10, 2018, at 4:27 pm for the following offenses:

  •      Driving without insurance
  •      Stop sign violation
  •      No registration
  •      Switched license plate

Deputies patrolling Amelia responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint near a business on Highway 182. Deputies observed a vehicle matching the given description fail to stop at a stop sign. Deputies conducted a traffic stop with said vehicle and made contact with the driver, Billiot. Deputies found evidence that Billiot was operating the vehicle without registration documents and insurance. Deputies also learned that the license plate displayed on the vehicle belonged to a different vehicle. Billiot was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.

 

Chasity Arcemont, 34, 214 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 10, 2018, 4:20 pm for theft. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista responded to a local business for a shoplifting complaint. The deputy found evidence that Arcement concealed items throughout the store and made an attempt to exit without paying for the items. Arcement was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.

 

Jerry Percle Jr., 50, 3252 Third Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on July 10, 2018, at 4:52 pm on the following warrants:

  •      Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of methamphetamine and failure to use signals
  •      Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of methamphetamine
  •      Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of residential contractor fraud
  •      Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft
  •      Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and theft

Percle was transported from Terrebonne Parish to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.
