According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:
James G. Perry, Jr., 27, 413 Leo Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 5, 2014 at 9:28 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of expired motor vehicle inspection and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. A deputy located Perry at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Perry was released on a $5,000 bond.
Juvenile male, 15, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 5, 2014 at 11:22 am for domestic abuse battery and simple assault. A deputy investigating a complaint of an ungovernable juvenile learned that the teen hit a phone charger causing the wire to strike a female victim in the face. The juvenile also made verbal threats toward the victim. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
David Aucoin, Jr., 18, 309 Second Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 5, 2014 at 11:08 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Schedule I. A deputy located Aucoin at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Latina Steward, 35, 1147 Lady of the Lake Road, St. Martinville, LA was arrested on November 5, 2014 at 2:12 pm for hit and run driving. A deputy made contact with Steward at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. While speaking with Steward, the deputy learned that she was the driver of a vehicle that was abandoned following a crash that occurred earlier that day on Highway 87 in Jeanerette. The deputy released Steward on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2014.
Jeremy Gabriel, 25, 142 Rogers Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on November 5, 2014 at 4:56 pm on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy transported Gabriel from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. Bail is set at $100,000.
Two juvenile males, ages 15 and 16, of Patterson, LA were arrested on November 5, 2014 at 8:08 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of 2 subjects shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned from store personnel that the two teenagers were seen concealing items on their persons before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Both juveniles were released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings.
