St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 32 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Hector Santos, 37, 109 Shivers Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2018, at 9:57 am for theft.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Shivers Street in order to locate Santos who had an active warrant. The deputies made contact with Santos at the residence and advised him of the warrant. Santos was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail was set at $1,500.

 

Derrick Brown, Sr., 44, 239 Coulee Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2018, at 11:00 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family, resisting a police officer with force or violence, operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, and speeding.

A deputy was made aware of a subject at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse who had active warrants. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Brown, and made him aware of the warrants.  Brown was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail was set.

 

Walter Howard, 31, 907 1st Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2018, at 1:20 pm for improper lane usage, possession of marijuana, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failing to comply with the terms and conditions of the drug court.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle crossing over the fog line several times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Howard. Through the stop, the deputy found a marijuana cigarette in the vehicle and learned of an active warrant for Howard.  Howard was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail was set.

 

Kristy Tedder, 38, 1214 Clements Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2018, at 1:20 pm for burglary of an inhabited dwelling.

Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista responded to a burglary complaint at a residence on Clements Lane and made contact with the homeowner who stated that her neighbor made entry into her home and removed some items without permission. The deputy made contact with Tedder and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail was set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Caleb Evans, 17, 508 Taft Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2018, at 4:46 pm for possession of marijuana.

A detective made contact with Evans at the Sheriff’s Office as Evans turned himself in on an active warrant.  Evans was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019.
