Arrest Report- January 15, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Loreal Jackson, 33, 2121 North Lobdell Street, Baton Rouge, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 9:39 am for driving under suspension and maximum speed limit.  

A deputy was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 90 near mile marker 172 when he observed a car traveling over the speed limit. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Jackson. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Jackson’s license was suspended. Jackson was arrested and released on a summons to appear on April 4, 2019.

 

Kevin Robertson, 54, 1214 Cypremort Road, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 2:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.   

Deputies patrolling the area of Franklin were dispatched to a residence on Cypremort Road in reference to an illegal discharge of a firearm. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Robertson and through the investigation learned of an active warrant for his arrest. Robertson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $500.

 

Rondrick Grant, 21, 1220 Cypremort Road, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 2:26 pm for aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments.   

Deputies patrolling the area of Franklin were dispatched to a residence on Cypremort Road in reference to an illegal discharge of a firearm. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Grant and through the investigation, the deputies learned that Grant illegally discharged a firearm. Grant was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Brett Gaspard, 28, 283 Eves Street, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 4:48 pm for hit and run.  

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Eves Street in reference to a hit and run.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a man who stated that someone had hit his mailbox causing damage.  Through the investigation, the deputy located a vehicle at a residence on Eves Street with damage to the passenger side mirror. The deputy made contact with a man, Gaspard, at the residence who admitted he had hit the mailbox. Gaspard was arrested and released on a summons to appear on April 4, 2019.

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Matthew Rollins, 24, 113 Diane Lane, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 5:26 pm for tail lights, no drivers license, and on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Andrenique Brown, 22, 321 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 5:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana.

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section were patrolling the area of Berwick when they observed a vehicle with no passenger side brake light. The detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Rollins, and a passenger, Brown. Through the stop, the detectives learned that Rollins did not have a valid driver’s license and that he held active warrants for his arrest. Brown also had an active warrant for her arrest. Rollins and Brown were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail for Rollins was set at $200,000. No bail has been set for Brown.

 

 

Joshua Walton, 18, 408 Charlotte Drive, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 6:49 pm for stop signs and yield signs, possession of marijuana, and improper lane usage.

Kameron Francis, 18, 529 Aucoin Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2019, at 6:49 pm for possession of marijuana.

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section were patrolling the area of Zenor Road when they observed a vehicle leave the roadway onto the dirt then back on the road. The detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Walton, and a passenger, Francis. Through the stop, the detectives smelled a strong odor of marijuana and found marijuana in the vehicle. Both Walton and Francis were arrested and each was released on a summons to appear on April 4, 2019.
