Arrest Report- February 19, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 128 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Allen Romar, 48, 806 Maurice Charles St., Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on February 15, 2019, at 10:48 pm for driving under suspension, no headlights, and no insurance.

A deputy patrolling the area of Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway observed a vehicle traveling without headlights on. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Romar. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Romar’s license was suspended and he had no insurance. Romar was arrested and released on a summons to appear on May 2, 2019.

 

Anderson Eugene Singleton, 53, 521 Tiffany St., Patterson, La, was arrested on February 17, 2019, at 12:43 am for failure to appear. 

A deputy located Singleton at the Patterson Police Department.  He was placed under arrest for said warrant and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond was set.

 

Shane Joseph Granger, 31, 723 Chetta Ln, Morgan City, La, was arrested on February 17, 2019, at 9:40 am for no license plate, driving under suspension, no insurance and five counts of failure to appear. 

A deputy patrolling the area of James Street observed a vehicle traveling without a license plate.  A traffic stop was performed and Granger was identified as the driver.  Through the stop, it was learned that Granger had a suspended driver’s license and was unable to provide vehicle registration and proof of insurance. It was also learned that there were active warrants for Granger’s arrest.  Granger was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set. 

 

Charlene Kilgore, 31, 111 Rue De Kajun, Pierre Part, La, was arrested on February 18, 2019, at 1:06 am for failure to appear. 

Kilgore turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on said warrant.  Bond was set at $3,000.

 

Clint A. Landry, 40, 111 Rue De Kajun, Pierre Part, La, was arrested on February 18, 2019, at 1:43 am for failure to appear. 

Landry turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on said warrant.  Bond was set at $7,500.

 

Natasha Rae Lynn Domangue, 31, 236 Hemlock Dr., Patterson, La, was arrested on February 18, 2019, at 12:28 pm for no insurance. 

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 182 and Venus St. to investigate a traffic crash.  Upon investigation, Domangue was identified as the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash.  It was learned that the vehicle Domangue was driving did not have insurance on it.  Domangue was placed under arrest and released on a summons to appear in court on May 2, 2019.

 

Walmer A. Skidmore, 65, 422 Highway 311, Schriever, La, was arrested on February 18, 2019, at 1:12 pm for driving under suspension and improper lane usage. 

A deputy patrolling the area of Highway 90 in Bayou Vista, La, conducted a traffic stop due to a traffic violation. Through the stop, Skidmore was identified as the driver of the vehicle.  It was learned that Skidmore had a suspended driver’s license. Skidmore was placed under arrest and released on a summons to appear in court on May 2, 2019.

 

Steven James Morris, 32, 132 Degravelle Rd., Amelia, La, was arrested on February 19, 2019, at 12:20 am for driving under suspension and turning movement and required signals. 

A deputy patrolling the area of Highway 182 in the Amelia area observed a vehicle turn without signaling.  A traffic was stop was made and Morris was identified as the driver.  Through the stop, Morris was unable to produce a driver’s license.  Morris was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 2, 2019.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Jathan Cowart, 35, 3187 Highway 87, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 15, 2019, at 9:54 am for the following charges:

-        resisting an officer by force

-        possession of schedule I (heroin) with intent to distribute

-        possession of schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute

-        possession of schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute

-        possession of schedule III (suboxen) with intent to distribute

-        possession of schedule II (Adderall) with intent to distribute

-        possession of drug paraphernalia

-        possession of legend drug without a prescription (furosemide)

-        possession of firearm by convicted felon

-        possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS

-        transactions involving drug proceeds

-        unlawful use of possession of body armor

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway 87 in Franklin and made Cowart. Upon serving the warrant, Cowart fled from detectives and began to forcefully resist arrest. The search of the residence yielded drugs, firearms, drug paraphernalia, and cash. Cowart was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.
