Arrest Report- March 4, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 128 complaints and reports the following arrests:

J’Trell Lamon Connor, 18, 1003 West Third St., Franklin, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 10:14 am on a warrant for failure to appear

Connor was located at the Terrebonne Parish Jail on said warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $600.00.

 

Juvenile Male, 16, Charenton, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 2:01 pm on a warrant for burglary of an inhabited dwelling.

Deputies were conducting an investigation of a burglary in which several firearms were stolen.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that a juvenile male took part in the burglary.  The juvenile was released back into the custody of his mother pending juvenile court action.

 

Ralph Patterson, 62, 212 Southeast Blvd., Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on March 2, 2019, at 4:14 am for three counts of aggravated assault on a police officer.

A deputy was dispatched to 1126 Rue Marguerite Street in reference to a subject with an active warrant for his arrest.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the subject, Patterson, and advised him of the active warrant. Patterson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 
John Robert Ford, 55, 713 Rosalie St, New Iberia, La, was arrested on March 2, 2019, at 8:05 am on a warrant for failure to appear. 

A deputy was dispatched to Ralph Darden Parkway in reference to a disturbance.  A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect vehicle. Through the stop, Ford was identified as the driver.  It was learned that there was an active warrant for Ford’s arrest.  He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set. 

 

Spencer Bourda, 28, 1356 Joseph St., Morgan City, La, was arrested at March 2, 2019, at 1:31 pm for domestic abuse battery. 

A deputy was dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the Siracusa area.  Upon investigation, it was learned that there had been a physical altercation before the deputy arrived.  Visible signs of abuse were present on the victim.  Bourda was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $10,000.

 

Luc Van Nguyen, 51, 109 Odile St., Amelia, La, was arrested on March 2, 2019, at 7:26 pm on a warrant for aggravated battery.

A deputy was conducted a follow up investigation in the Amelia area when he located Nguyen.  Nguyen was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $20,000.

 

Amber Dennis Thompson, 33, 209 Eves St., Jeanerette, La, was arrested on March 3, 2019, at 1:37 am for disturbing the peace intoxicated and a warrant for possession of schedule IV drugs. 

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Eves St. to remove a subject.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that the suspect, identified as Thompson, had been drinking all day.  Thompson continued to cause a disturbance.  It was also learned that there was an active warrant for Thompson’s arrest.  She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set at this time. 

 

Gery P. Champagne, Jr. 41, 168 FJ Hebert Ln, Jeanerette, La, was arrested on March 3, 2019, at 6:24 pm for driving while intoxicated 1st offense and careless operation with an accident. 

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Katy Bridge Rd. in reference to a vehicle in the ditch.  Upon arrival, the deputy observed a subject hiding behind a tree. Upon making contact with the subject, identified as Champagne, he had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath. Champagne refused field sobriety.  He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $3,000.

 

Mark Eric Felterman, 31, 403 Woodburn Street, Berwick, La, was arrested on March 3, 2019, at 9:07 pm for littering. 

A deputy was dispatched to the Hayes Memorial Boat Launch in response to a report of trash being dumped into the bayou.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated that a man had dumped something into the bayou.  The deputy was provided with a license plate number of the vehicle. The deputy proceeded to Woodburn Street and made contact with Felterman who admitted to dumping crawfish heads into the bayou. Felterman was arrested and released on a summons to appear on June 19, 2019.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Gilbert Christopher Howard, 48, 215 Fourth St., Morgan City, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 6:36 am on a warrant for conspiracy to distribute schedule II cocaine and theft under $1,000. 

Howard was located on said warrant at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center as part of an arrest warrant roundup. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.  No bond has been set. 

 

Jarvis D. Granger, 32, 1004 Joseph St., Morgan City, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 6:40 am on a warrant for conspiracy to distribute schedule II cocaine. 

Granger was located on said warrant at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center as part of an arrest warrant roundup. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.  No bond has been set. 

 

Floyd Malveaux, 37, 203 Trevino St., Apt 15, Berwick, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 6:49 am on a warrant for principal to distribute schedule II cocaine. 

Malveaux was located on said warrant on Trevino St. in Berwick, La, as part of an arrest warrant roundup. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond has been set at $5,000.

 

Timothy J. Curtis, 34, 94 Virginia St., Franklin, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 7:25 am on a warrant for obstruction of justice.

Curtis was located on said warrant on Virginia St. in Franklin, La, as part of an arrest warrant roundup. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond has been set at $3,000.

 

Lisa D. Jones, 56, 109 Highway 182, Morgan City, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 7:34 am on a warrant for soliciting for prostitution. 

Jones was located on said warrant at Solar’s Apartments, Morgan City, La, as part of an arrest warrant roundup. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond has been set at $500.

 

Bobby Jackson, 31, 124 Welch Rd., Franklin, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 8:14 am for resisting and officer by flight and on warrants for possession of synthetic cannabinoids, obstruction of justice and three counts of failure to appear.

Jackson was located on said warrant on Irish Bend Rd in Franklin, La, as part of an arrest warrant roundup. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Eric Spencer Gaskins, 48, 2414 Apple St., Morgan City, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 8:31 am on a warrant for distribution of crack cocaine. 

Gaskins was located on said warrant at a business on Highway 182 in Amelia, La, as part of an arrest warrant roundup. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond has been set at $2,500.

 

Madison Turner, 26, 89 Main St., Franklin, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 9:04 am on a warrant for possession of schedule II methamphetamine, possession of CDS in the presence of juvenile and failure to appear. 

Turner was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse as part of an arrest warrant round up. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond has been set at $4,000.

 

King Charles, Sr., 59, 141 Charles Ln., Franklin, La, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 9:44 am on a warrant for distribution of crack cocaine. 

Charles was located on said warrant in Four Corners, La, as part of an arrest warrant round up. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond has been set at $3,000.
