Arrest Report, April 30, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Michael Anthony Leonard, 40, 118 Watson St., Patterson, La, was arrested on April 29, 2019, at 8:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear for an imposition hearing on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

 

A deputy was assisting the Franklin Police Department with a traffic stop when he came into contact with Leonard.  It was learned that there was an active warrant for Leonard’s arrest.  Leonard was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $61.13.

 

Krystal Nicole Tolento, 31, 501 Roderick St., Morgan City, La, was arrested on April 29, 2019, at 11:02 am on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the charges of forgery and theft (under $1000). 

 

Tolento was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.  She was booked on the said charge.  No bond has been set.

 

Leonard Allen Yarborough, 57, 115 Cane Road, Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on April 29, 2019, at 3:50 pm for theft.

 

A deputy was dispatched to a business in Bayou Vista, La, in reference to a shoplifting.  Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Yarborough had taken several items and hid them behind the business.  All items were recovered.  Leonard was issued a summons to appear in court on July 29, 2019.

 

Ebony Antoine, 35, 1217 Samuel St., Franklin, La, was arrested on April 29, 2019, at 6:45 pm for driving under suspension and careless operation.

 

A deputy was dispatched to Highway 87 in Franklin, La, due to a vehicle crash.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that Antoine lost control of the vehicle while trying to turn.  She was also driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Antoine was issued a summons to appear in court on July 29, 2019.

 

Leonard Allen Yarborough, 57, 115 Cane Road, Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on April 29, 2019, at 11:09 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated.

 

A deputy was dispatched to Cane Rd., in Bayou Vista, La, for a disturbance.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Yarborough, who was under the influence of alcohol.  Deputies had contact with Yarborough earlier in the night and advised him not to make contact with the occupants of the home. Yarborough was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $1,000.

 

Errol Robinson, Jr., 34, 314 Desire St., New Iberia, La, was arrested on April 30, 2019, at 12:50 am for possession of marijuana, possession of schedule I drugs, possession of schedule II drugs (x 2), no license plate light, no insurance, expired license plate and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

 

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 182 near Yokley Rd. when he observed a vehicle speeding and traveling without a license plate light.  A deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Robinson.  Through the stop, it was learned that the vehicle had no insurance and the license plate was expired.  Upon conducting a pat down of Robinson, a glasses case was located.  Inside the case, the deputy located two bags of marijuana, hydrocodone pills, ecstasy/MDMA pills and a bag of methamphetamine. A digital scale was also located inside the vehicle.  Robinson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $4,250.
