According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 121 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Clarence Colbert, 44, 104 Haven Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on December 12, 2014 at 12:33 pm for expired inspection sticker and on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area conducted a traffic stop on Duhon Bypass Road on a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and made contact with the driver who was identified as Colbert. During the stop, the deputy also learned of the active warrant for Colbert’s arrest. The deputy transported Colbert to the parish jail for booking. Colbert was later released on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
Robyn Blanc, 29, 1313 Middle Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 12, 2014 at 12:54 pm on a warrant for cruelty to animals. During an ongoing investigation into arson on Middle Road, a detective learned that a small dog perished in the fire set by Blanc. (See December 12, 2014 report for more info.) Blanc remains incarcerated with no bail set.
Heather Harvey, 30, 203 Trevino Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on December 12, 2014 at 2:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy located Harvey at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. She was later released on $324.50 bail.
Lauren H. Hall, 29, 1642 Chestnut Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 12, 2014 at 8:56 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and license plate light required. A deputy located Hall at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Hall was later released on a $5,000 bond.
David Frickey, 51, 639 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 12, 2014 at 10:16 pm for criminal mischief (misuse of 911). A deputy learned that Frickey called 911 operators with the intention of leaving a message for a deputy. The deputy had advised Frickey on numerous occasions that make non-emergency calls through the 911 system is prohibited. The deputy released Frickey on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
Melissa C. Badeaux, 34, 205 Cedar Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 13, 2014 at 10:09 am on a warrant for unauthorized use of an access card. A jailer at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center learned of the active warrant for Badeaux’s arrest after she signed in at the facility in order to visit an offender. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint received in June of a bank card being used without the owner’s permission. The detective assigned to the case learned that the victim gave Badeaux the bank card for safe keeping while being treated at a medical facility. The victim later discovered that the account was overdrawn. The detective identified Badeaux on surveillance video making unauthorized transactions with the card at a local bank. Badeaux was booked and later released on a $5,000 bond.
Trevor Brown, 37, 20104 Highway 90 Frontage Road Lot #1, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 13, 2014 at 11:23 am for expired inspection sticker and possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy assigned to patrol the Charenton area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and made contact with the driver who was identified as Brown. During the course of the traffic stop investigation, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located an open bottle of beer. The deputy released Brown on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
Chester Nora, 50, 449 St. Peters Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 13, 2014 at 5:13 pm for 2 counts of violation of the parish vicious animals ordinance. A deputy investigating an animal complaint on Fortier Circle learned from the complainant that a loose dog killed a chicken in her yard. While standing in the street, the deputy observed a second dog break free from a chain in another yard. The dog then quickly exited the yard running towards the deputy into the street while growling and baring its teeth. In response to the animal’s aggressiveness, the deputy fired his duty weapon wounding the animal in the head. The dog then fled into a nearby field. The deputy identified Nora as the owner of both of the dogs. Both dogs were collected by St. Mary Parish Animal Control. The deputy released Nora on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
Jason M. St. Germain, 38, 2717 Highway 182, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 14, 2014 at 12:45 am for domestic abuse battery, resisting an officer with force or violence, and disturbing the peace (intoxicated).
Angelique St. Germain, 43, 2717 Highway 182, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 14, 2014 at 12:45 am for domestic abuse battery.
A deputy was dispatched to the above listed address in response to a battery in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy located J. St. Germain outside the residence attempting to hide from the deputy. The deputy detained J. St. Germain and then also made contact with A. St. Germain. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the St. Germain’s got into an argument after leaving a bar in Berwick. The verbal altercation then turned physical with both subjects injuring each other in a fistic encounter. While escorting J. St. Germain to the patrol unit, he became hostile attempting to kick a deputy. J. St. Germain was transported to the parish jail for booking. A. St. Germain was transported to a local hospital for treatment after which she was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set for J. St. Germain. A. St. Germain was released on a $2,500 bond.
Arnulfo Bueso Rivera, 43, West Side Park Lane Apt. #3, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 14, 2014 at 12:34 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to Teche Regional Medical Center in reference to a possible battery victim. During the course of the investigation, the deputy made contact with Rivera on West Side Park Lane and learned that he struck a female victim in the face. Rivera was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Charlie Jones, 56, 128 Lakeside Parkway, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 15, 2014 at 3:22 am for theft of goods and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and no insurance. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store on Highway 182 in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that a subject was seen concealing an item. The subject then purchased some items but failed to pay for the item hidden in his jacket pocket. Using a description provided by the complainant, the deputy located the subject walking on the premises of a nearby business. The deputy detained the subject, Jones, and transported him to the store where he was positively identified as the shoplifter. The deputy learned that Jones took a sandwich from the store without paying for it and that Jones was wanted on the active warrant. The deputy transported Jones to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
