According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrest:
Dexter Billiot, 23, 230 Southwest Boulevard, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 15, 2014 at 9:03 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile
- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
- Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (church & park)
- Transactions involving drug proceeds.
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at Billiot’s residence. During the search, detectives located several bags of high grade marijuana with an approximate street value of $2,000. A shotgun, $1,356 in cash, and several items of drug paraphernalia including a digital scale and baggies were also found at the residence. A small child was present at the time of the investigation. The address is located within 2,000 feet of both a church and park. Billiot transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Christin Blanchard, 27, 210 R.J. Drive, Chauvin, LA was arrested on December 15, 2014 at 3:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of codeine, possession of Schedule I, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy assigned to the Warrants Division located Blanchard at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. The deputy transported Blanchard to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Marley R. Madise, 24, 308 Union Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 15, 2014 at 9:02 pm for theft of goods. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint of a theft at a gas station located on Highway 90. The deputy learned from store personnel that a female subject left the business without paying for a pack of cigarettes. Using a description of the subject and the subject’s vehicle, the deputy located Madise at her residence and positively identified her as the person responsible for the theft. The deputy released Madise on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
