According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Shane R. Archangel, 20, 823 Fulton Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on January 5, 2015 at 12:43 pm on a warrant for burglary (vehicle). Archangel was located with the assistance of the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and transported from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. The warrant is the result of an investigation into a vehicle burglary that occurred on the Charenton levee in November. (See previous releases.) No bail is set.
Randolph Wayman, 28, 140 Mill Lane Lot #34, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 5, 2015 at 8:07 pm on a warrant for theft of goods. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center a jailer identified Wayman as having an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Wayman is seen on video surveillance taking an item from the business without paying for it. No bail is set.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Bricelon Martin, 18, 1192 Chitimacha Trail Baldwin, LA was arrested on January 5, 2015 at 4:49 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Baldwin area conducted a traffic stop on Highway 83 on a vehicle without a visible license plate. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Martin. During the course of the traffic stop investigation, detectives located a marijuana pipe on Martin's person. Detectives released Martin on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
