According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Yeron Diaz-Soler, 25, 804 Abbirene St, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 5, 2015 at 4:15pm on charges of introduction of contraband into a penal institution and malfeasance in office. A detective investigating a case involving contraband being entered into the jail interviewed Diaz-Soler. Diaz-Soler, an employee with the St Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office assigned to the jail, admitted to bringing in cell phones to the Law Enforcement Center In Centerville. Diaz-Soler was arrested and later released on a $7000 bond.
Juvenile male, 16, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 5, 2015 at 9:45pm on the charge of runaway juvenile. A deputy assigned to patrol the Patterson area was flagged down by the child’s parent. The deputy learned that the child ran away from his residence after becoming upset. The juvenile was later located at another residence in Patterson. The juvenile was arrested and released to parents pending juvenile court proceedings.
