St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 32 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Preston Jamal Wade, 31, Amelia, LA, was arrested on November 16, 2021, at 8:18 pm for the following charges:

• Resisting arrest or officer
• Obstruction of justice-tampering
• Possession of schedule IV drugs
• Introduction of contraband-penal institution

No bail has been set.

 

Tris Evans Madison, 28, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 16, 2021, at 10:18 pm for the following charges:

• License plate lights required
• Stop signs and yield signs
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of schedule I drugs
• Possession of THC wax
• Possession of schedule IV drugs
• Driver must be licensed

Madison also held three MCPD warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of marijuana
• No driver's license
• Driving wrong way on a one-way street
• Criminal damage to property (simple)

No bail has been set on the SMPSO charges and Madison is being held for another agency.

 

Corey David Delatte, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 17, 2021, at 12:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of remaining in places or on land after being forbidden. Bail has not been set.

 

Javien Jawan Francis, 24, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 17, 2021, at 4:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of a schedule II CDS. Bail has not been set.
