St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 100 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Renardo Dywarne Stewart, 45, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2021, at 2:49 pm for resisting arrest or officer and on three warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Failure to dim headlights
• Driver must be licensed
• Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
• Improper lane usage
• Possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles
• Resisting arrest or officer
• No driver's license on person
• Speeding

Bail was set at $3,255.

 

Corey Wayne Sereal, 47, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2021, at 7:06 am for stop signs/yield signs, driving while intoxicated, and resisting an officer by giving false information. Bail was set at $4,250.

 

Cordell Jerome Johnson, Jr., 20, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2021, at 12:06 am for criminal damage to property-simple, battery of a dating partner by strangulation, battery of a dating partner child endangerment law, and reckless operation-no accident. Bail has not been set.

 

Nyah Latrice Prevost, 19, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2021, at 12:05 am for criminal damage to property-simple and battery of a dating partner. Prevost was released on a $2,750 bond.

 

Manekka Schwan Livas, 36, Houma, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2021, at 8:14 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension. Livas was released on a $750 bond.

 

Carl Winston Joseph Jr., 28, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 5, 2021, at 1:39 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $3,230.95.

 

Darlene Miriah Bailey, 60, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on December 5, 2021, at 1:58 am for possession of schedule II drugs, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set.

 

Verelyn Benjamin Cannon, 62, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 5, 2021, at 4:30 am for domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property-simple. Cannon was released on a $2,750 bond.

 

Bettina Lynn Duval, 47, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 6, 2021, at 9:47 pm for monetary instrument abuse. Bail has not been set.

 

McCloures Manuel, 32, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 6, 2021, at 12:56 am for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Bail has not been set.
