According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jason Giroir, 37, 316 Cedar Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 18, 2015 at 1:37 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (child under 12). Giroir turned himself in on the warrant at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. No bail is set.
Antonio Collins, Jr., 30, 101 Pluto Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 18, 2015 at 11:41 pm for second degree battery. Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, a deputy made contact with Collins. Through the subsequent investigation, the deputy learned that Collins put out a cigarette on a female victim’s face. The deputy observed a burn mark on the victim. Collins was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Chance M. Landry, 25, 117 Pond Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 19, 2015 at 5:39 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of alprazolam with intent to distribute and distribution of alprazolam. Landry was turned in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman. During the booking process, a deputy located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
