According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Dwight Blackburn, 36, 266 Prairie Road North, Verdunville, LA was arrested on July 28, 2015 at 9:41 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
- Possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids) with intent to distribute
- Distribution of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division developed information that Blackburn was selling synthetic cannabinoids from his residence on Prairie Road and obtained a search warrant for the location. During the search of the residence, detectives located a bag or marijuana, a bag of synthetic cannabinoids, and packaging material consistent with the sale of illegal drugs. Blackburn was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jarrell Gash, 27, 1367 Joseph Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 28, 2015 at 12:52 pm on an Orleans Parish warrant for failure to appear before a grand jury. A deputy assisting Louisiana State Police arrested Gash at a business on Siracusa Road in Siracusaville on the warrant. Gash was transported to the parish jail for booking and later transferred to another facility for housing.
Anna Hebert, 35, 232 Wayne Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on July 28, 2015 at 12:49 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. A deputy made contact with Hebert on Prairie Road in Franklin and located the active warrant for her arrest. The warrant was obtained following an investigation into disturbance at a residence in Centerville. The deputy assigned to the case learned that Hebert and a teenaged juvenile male were arguing when Hebert slapped the juvenile in the face. The deputy transported Hebert to the parish jail. Hebert was released after posting $750 bond.
Devon Marsh, 23, 1048 Ciro Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on July 28, 2015 at 3:38 pm on two Morgan City Court warrants for failure to appear on the charges of hit and run and contempt of court. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area observed a subject driving a vehicle without a seatbelt and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Marsh, and located the active warrants for his arrest. Bail is set at $1,175.
Milan J. Sanders, 24, 520 ½ Martin Luther King Avenue, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 28, 2015 at 7:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs. Sanders turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. Bail is set at $2,500.
