Suspect Wanted for Damaging Vending Machine Arrested

On September 15, 2015, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s office released information on a theft and criminal damage to property investigation in which a vending machine was damaged. Following the release of video and pictures of the suspect, the detective assigned to the case collected information from Franklin Police and also received anonymous phone calls regarding the perpetrator's identity. The detective positively identified the man seen in the video as 42 year old Lynn Lovell, Jr. of Franklin and obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of criminal damage to coin operated devices, theft, and criminal trespass. This morning at 9:17 am, a deputy assigned to the Warrants Division located Lovell at his residence at 105 Gates Drive. Lovell was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
