According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 121 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Christopher L. Martin, 29, 2323 Third Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 14, 32015 at 11:59 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of Schedule III (Buprenorphine)
- Driving under suspension
- Careless operation
- Warrant for 2 counts simple burglary and criminal damage to property
- Warrant from Patterson Police for failure to appear on the charge of no license plate light and no proof of insurance
Deputies responded to a complaint of a reckless driver at the intersection of Columbus and Jupiter Streets in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, one of the deputies observed a male subject standing near a vehicle that was blocking the roadway. The deputy recognized the subject as Martin and knew that he was wanted on the warrant. During the arrest, the deputy located over a dozen pills on Martin for which he did not have a prescription. The deputy also learned that Martin was driving the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. The warrant for the charges of burglary and property damage is the result of an investigation into two vehicle burglaries and a damaged vehicle reported on November 5, 2015. The burglaries occurred at a business located on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. The suspects were caught on video surveillance rummaging through and taking items from two unlocked vehicles in the parking lot. One of the suspects is also seen cutting the tire of a vehicle. The detective assigned to the case positively identified the suspects as Martin and Antoinette O. Davis. Martin was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Joshua J. Perro, 27, 179 Eves Street, Sorrel, LA was arrested on November 14, 2015 at 11:30 pm on a warrant for aggravated criminal damage to property and flight from an officer. A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of a disturbance on Eves Street. Upon speaking with the complainant, the deputy learned that Perro, whom the victim knew, used what appeared to be a pipe to break the victim’s driver side window as the victim was driving. The deputy located Perro at his residence. However, Perro fled on foot when the deputy acted to detain him. Continuing the investigation, the deputy obtained a warrant for Perro’s arrest. Perro turned himself in at St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office headquarters in Franklin. No bail is set.
Timothy J. Hendon, 26, 204 Laura Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 14, 2015 at 11:35 pm for simple assault and criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a call for service regarding a disturbance at a residence on Laura Drive. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Hendon made loud verbal threats to a female victim. The deputy also learned that Hendon broke the victim’s cell phone. Hendon was transported to the parish jail for booking. Hendon was later released on a summons to appear in court on February 11, 2016.
Kenneth Lee, 36, 123 Gumpoint Lane, St. Joseph, LA was arrested on November 15, 2015 at 12:36 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of obscenity. While investigating a complaint at a business on Northwest Boulevard in Franklin, a deputy made contact with Lee and located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
Antoinette O. Davis, 37, 501 Roderick Street Apt. #11, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 16, 2015 at 12:04 am on a warrant for simple burglary and attempted burglary. The warrant is the result of an investigation into two vehicle burglaries and a damaged vehicle reported on November 5, 2015. The burglaries occurred at a business located on Highway 1832 in Bayou Vista. The suspects were caught on video surveillance rummaging through and taking items from two unlocked vehicles in the parking lot. One of the suspects is also seen cutting the tire of a vehicle. The detective assigned to the case positively identified the suspects as Christopher L. Martin and Davis. Warrants were obtained for both suspects. After learning the address of Ourso’s current residence, a deputy working to execute the warrant contacted Morgan City Police. With their assistance the deputy executed the warrant at Ourso’s residence on Roderick Street. No bail is set.
