Detectives executing a search warrant on the vehicle that fled from a deputy recovered several items that had been reported stolen including deep sea fishing tackle. Hopes was a passenger in the vehicle. Detectives identified the items as being stolen from a victim’s truck at the Patout boat landing in Iberia Parish and obtained a warrant for Hopes arrest.
