Arrest Report - March 24, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:


Kaleb Calloway, 19, 143 Sun Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 23, 2016 at 2:16 pm for the following offenses:

- Warrant for distribution of synthetic cannabinoid

- Warrant for second degree robbery and simple battery 

With the assistance of the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division located Calloway at a residence in St. Martin Parish. The warrant for synthetic cannabinoids is part of the Spring Cleaning operation conducted by the Narcotics Division. (See 3-16-16 release.) The warrant for second degree robbery and simple battery was obtained following an investigation into a possible battery at a residence in Centerville earlier this month. (See 3-2-16 arrest report for more information on that case.) John Buck, Jr., who also is wanted on a warrant in that case, remains at large. Calloway was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.


According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:


Arthur Cole, 58, 7212 US 90 E, Apt. #27, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 23, 2016 at 10:19 pm for driving under suspension and license plate lights required. A deputy assigned to patrol Siracusa observed a vehicle traveling on James Street without an illuminated license plate light and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Cole, and found that he was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that is listed as suspended. Cole was released on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.
