According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests from the Uniformed Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Division:
Keiera Wood, 19, 917 Willard Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 21, 2016 at 10:30 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, failure to use seatbelts, and failure to honor written promise to appear. Wood was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of unlawful purchase and/or public possession of alcoholic beverages. A correctional officer transported Wood from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.
Juvenile female, 16, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 21, 2016 at 1:30 pm for ungovernable juvenile. A detective investigating a complaint involving a juvenile found evidence that the teenager habitually disregarded the reasonable demands of her guardians and became beyond their control. The juvenile was subsequently released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
