According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Nicole Benedietto, 30, 151 Uranus Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 25, 2014 at 9:06 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended license and speeding, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with an unlit license plate. A deputy located Benedietto at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin on the warrants. The deputy transported Benedietto to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $7,500.
Dicie Fulks, 30, 5901 LA Highway 182, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on August 25, 2014 at 11:53 am on a warrant for aggravated battery. A deputy responding to a complaint of a disturbance at the above listed address made contact with Fulks and learned of the warrant for her arrest. The warrant was obtained as the result of an investigation into a report of an aggravated battery that occurred on April 4, 2014. The detective assigned to the case learned that Fulks and a female subject were arguing during a car ride. When the female victim exited the vehicle, Fulks put the vehicle in drive and struck the victim. No injuries were reported by the victim at the time the report was made. Fulks was transported to the parish jail for booking. She later posted a $5,000 bond.
Justin Scarbrough, 22, 1232 Delmar Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 25, 2014 at 11:33 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt of court, failure to use seatbelts, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area made contact with Scarbrough who was walking on Southeast Boulevard. While speaking with Scarbrough, the deputy learned of the warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Scarbrough to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $100.
