According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 25 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile male, 14, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 4, 2016 at 9:36 am for ungovernable and runaway juvenile. Deputies responded to a report of a runaway juvenile in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that the juvenile refused to go to school and left the residence on foot. Deputies searched the area and alerted neighboring law enforcement agencies. Deputies found the juvenile sleeping at another family member’s residence in Amelia. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Jordan A. Billiot, 30, 102 Cedarwood Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 4, 2016 at 5:43 pm for possession of Legend Drug (naloxone hydrochloride). Deputies responded to a request for assistance from the Franklin Police Department in stopping a vehicle that fled from an officer. Deputies observed the vehicle in a ditch at the intersection of Willow Street and LA Highway 87. The investigating deputy gathered evidence that Billiot stopped the vehicle and put it in reverse backing up into the ditch. The deputy also located the prescription drug naloxone hydrochloride inside the car Billiot was driving. Billiot was unable to provide a prescription for the drug. The deputy received consent to collect a blood sample in reference to the crash investigation. Additional charges are pending the outcome of a toxicology report. Billiot was transported to the parish jail for booking. Other charges were also filed against Billiot by the Franklin Police Department.
