Arrest Report - December 16, 2016

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:


Nico Skipper, 27, 1111 Dora Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 15, 2016 at 11 :42 am on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. A correctional officer located an active warrant for Skipper who was being housed at the Morgan City Police Department. Bail is set at $5,000.


Joshua Hamilton, 19, 517 East Pershing Driver, New Iberia, LA was arrested on December 15, 2016 at 2:23 pm for driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle with no visible license plate and conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 90. The deputy made contact with the driver, Hamilton, and found that he was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy also observed a temporary license plate decal on the vehicle. Hamilton was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2017.


Zachary M. Simon, 23, 2180 S. Fieldspan Road, Duson, Law as arrested on December 15, 2016 at 8:58 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of a battery that occurred on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. A Patterson police officer stopped the suspect vehicle. A deputy then made contact with the driver, Simon. During the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Simon grabbed a female victim by the neck and pushed her back into a vehicle the 2 were travelling in. Simon was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.
