Vehicle Recovered in Robbery - Suspects at Large

On Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:45 pm, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery that occurred in the 100 block of Mercury Road in Bayou Vista. Two suspects approached a female victim who was inside her car parked outside a residence. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim. The victim exited the vehicle, ran into the residence, and called 911. The two suspects drove away in the vehicle. The victim was not injured. Deputies issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the vehicle. Video of the suspects was recovered from a nearby business. 

 

On Sunday, August 16, 2015 just prior to 9:30 pm, a deputy observed a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle traveling on Main Street in Franklin and initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle pulled into a driveway on Martin Luther King Road. Three suspects, including the driver, exited the car and fled on foot. The stolen vehicle was recovered and evidence was collected.
