Arrest Report - January 25, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

UNIFORMED PATROL SECTION

 

Juvenile male, 14, Centerville, LA was arrested on January 23, 2018 at 1:08 pm for the following offenses:

  • Ungovernable juvenile
  • Curfew violation
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
  • No driver’s license

Deputies investigated a call for service regarding an ungovernable juvenile. Deputies found that the juvenile drove a vehicle from a residence without permission from his guardian. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Homer Lalonde, 41, 324 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 25, 2018 at 11:41 pm for proper head lights required and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle with green fog lights and conducted a traffic stop on Southeast Boulevard. The deputy identified the driver as Lalonde and found that he was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. Lalonde was released on a summons to appear in court on April 2, 2018.

 

Marvin Verret, 74, 312 Camile Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 25, 2018 at 5:05 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of crab traps. A deputy investigating vehicle crash on Kathleen Street in Patterson identified one of the driver’s as Verret and located the active warrant for his arrest. Verret was released on a summons to appear in court on April 2, 2018.

 

CORRECTIONS DIVISION

 

Van Clay, 38, 11411 Old Jeanerette Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 24, 2018 at 8:42 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of careless operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, hit and run driving, and flight from an officer. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional deputy located the active warrant for Clay’s arrest. Clay was released on a $2,500.
