St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:


Cutter Naquin, 18, 1753 Highway 83, Ashton, LA was arrested on May 21, 2018 at 3:35 am for the following charges:

(Attempted) burglary

Criminal trespass

Contributing to the delinquency of juveniles

Criminal damage to property

Juvenile male, 15, Lydia, LA was arrested on May 21, 2018 at 3:35 am for criminal mischief.

Beau Phillips, 18, 503 Highway 90, New Iberia, LA was arrested on May 21, 2018 at 2:46 am for criminal mischief.

Aaron Boutte, 24, 2305 College Drive, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on May 21, 2018 at 2:46 am for criminal mischief.

A deputy assisted Baldwin Police in investigating a report of a burglary in progress on Charenton Road in Baldwin. The deputy was informed that a suspect vehicle had been stopped on Highway 83 near Highway 182. The deputy identified the the four occupants of the truck as Naquin, a juvenile male, Phillips, and Boutte. Through investigation, the deputy learned that Naquin went onto private property on Charenton Road in an attempt to steal a 4-wheeler. The deputy also collected evidence that the other 3 subjects were assisting Naquin in the attempted crime. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings. Boutte and Phillips were released on summonses to appear in court on August 15, 2018. Naquin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.

John Alcina, 706 Martin Luther King boulevard, Patterson, LA was additionally charged on May 21, 2018 at 11:39 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of alprazolam, possession of drug paraphernalia, and windshield requirements. While booking Alcina into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional deputy located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Devon Marsh, 26, 1048 Ciro Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on may 21, 2018 at 6:55 pm for the following offenses:

Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute

Possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Transactions involving drug proceeds

Violation of  controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Yvonne Marsh, 55, 1048 Ciro Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on may 21, 2018 at 6:55 pm for vicious animal ordinance violation.

Narcotics detectives conducted a search warrant at D. Marsh’s and Y. Marsh’s residence and located high grade marijuana, 6 pieces of crack cocaine, $173 in cash money, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia belonging to D. Marsh. Detectives also located 2 pit bull dogs belonging to Y. Marsh. The detectives observed that the animals were not being kept in compliance with the parish ordinance. Y. Marsh was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2018. D. Marsh was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
