St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Claude Charlot III, age 24, of Leonard Street in Patterson, LA was arrested on 5-21-2018 at 9:07 am on charges of battery on a corrections officer. Claude is an inmate at the parish jail and pushed a deputy resulting in said charge. He remains incarcerated.

 

Nathan Corley, age 38, of Hwy 182, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on 5-22-2018 at 3:51 pm on a warrant from drug court. He was transported to the parish jail and incarcerated with bond $100,000.00.

 

Scott Authement, age 42, of Main Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on 5-22-2018 at 10:30 am on a warrant for failure to appear in court on charge of possession of methamphetamine. During the arrest deputies found evidence resulting in charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and 8 counts of possession of legend drugs and possession of methamphetamine at a residence on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set. 

 

Tanya Authement, age 46 of Hwy 182 Morgan City, LA was arrested on Lake Palourde Road on 5-22-2018 at 10:16 am on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Authement was released on a summons to appear in court on 8-15-2018. This arrest was made during the apprehension of Scott Authement.

 

Jeremy Perez, age 25 of Lake Dautrieve Road, New Iberia was arrested on 5-22-2018 at 8:27 pm on charges of aggravated flight from and officer, careless operation, no drivers license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. This was a result of a deputy responding to a complaint of a reckless driver in the Garden City area. A deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver took off at a high rate of speed on a long pursuit that ended with the arrest. Perez was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.

 

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Brennan Bergeron, age 21, of Watkins Street Berwick, LA was arrested on 5-22-2018 at 7:30 pm on charges of improper lane use, reckless operation of a vehicle, obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of CDS law drug free zone. This arrest was due to deputies observing the suspect vehicle’s movements resulting in a traffic stop. During the stop evidence was found leading to the charges. Bergeron was transported to the parish jail and incarcerated.

 

Devin Clay, age 26, of Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on 5-22-2018 at 4:43 pm on charges of possession heroin with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of CDS law drug free zone, and possession of CDS in presence of a minor. The arrest was the result of a search warrant conducted at Clay’s apartment. Clay was transported to the parish jail and incarcerated.
