St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Joseph Thibodaux, 20, 1012 W Ibert Street, Franklin, LA was additionally charged on May 29, 2018 at 1:23 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of aggravated assault. While booking Thibodaux into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for another agency, a correctional deputy located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

 

Zachary Mahfouz, 24, 2811 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on May 30, 2018 at 12:40 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mahfouz turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail is set at $1,500.

 

Brian August, 40, 1905 Church Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on May 30, 2018 at 9:36 am on a 2013 warrant for failure to appear on the charge of angling without a license. August turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and later released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Tyler Davis, 21, 124 Natalie Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 30, 2018 at 4:39 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. A detective obtained the warrant after investigating a reported case of domestic abuse in April. The deputy found evidence that Davis struck a female victim in the face while the 2 were in a vehicle driving in the Patterson area. Davis turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

 

Katherine Maher, 21, 1537 Bernice Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 31, 2018 at 3:00 am for no driver’s license. A deputy investigating a 2-vehicle crash on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista found that one of the driver’s, Maher, did not have a license. Maher was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2018.
