St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Kevin Latchie, 35, 206 Sylvan Drive, Natchitoches, LA was arrested on May 31, 2018 at 3:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I drugs 2nd offense, and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses. A correctional deputy transported Latchie from the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Xavian Watson, 26, 107 Foxglove Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 31, 2018 at 2:36 pm on a warrant for possession of Schedule II (dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride) and possession of Schedule II (amphetamine dextroamphetamine). The warrant was the result of a traffic stop conducted on US Highway 90 in the Shadyside area. Narcotics detectives developed information that suspected illegal drugs were in the vehicle and received consent to search. Detectives then located pills. Watson turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin after learning of the warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.
Travis Boatman, 37, 714 Carl C. Foulcard Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 31, 2018 at 5:58 pm for possession of Schedule IV (Xanax), obstruction of justice, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Narcotics detectives conducting a traffic stop in Four Corners identified a passenger in the vehicle as Boatman and found that he had an active warrant for his arrest. During the investigation, detectives observed Boatman drop a bag out of the vehicle’s window. Detectives retrieved the bag and found Xanax pills inside. Boatman was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
