St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises internal investigation completed.

Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that during the course of an internal affairs investigation into the facts surrounding the escape of four inmates, it was determined that three deputies failed to follow proper security protocol as required. Following the completion of this investigation, those deputies are no longer employed by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Anslum will continue to meet with staff to ensure that these failures to follow proper security protocol, which were identified, are addressed and corrected.
