Arrest Report - June 8, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jamie Scarbrough Jr., 28, 127 Highway 663, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 7, 2018 at 10:42 am on a warrant for simple escape.

 

Tanner Scarbrough, 18, 101 Lambert Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 7, 2018 at 10:42 am on a warrant for simple escape.

 

On Sunday, June 3, 2018, deputies with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating an escape from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Through the course of the investigation, an arrest warrant was secured for both Jamie and Tanner Scarbrough. Tanner and Jamie Scarbrough were apprehended in Picayune, Mississippi and ultimately transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

 

Shenice Wood, 25, 723 Arlington Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 7, 2018 at 6:56 pm on the following warrants:

  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of  possession of marijuana
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of probation violation
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of contempt of court

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista responded to a residence for an unrelated call for service. The deputy made contact with Wood and learned that she held active warrants through the Morgan City Police Department. Wood was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Courtland Fullwood, 30, 110 Third Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 7, 2018 at 7:07 pm for the following offenses:

  •       Aggravated flight from an officer
  •       Resisting arrest
  •       Patterson Police Department failure to appear warrant for speeding
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for theft of a motor vehicle
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving without a license and improper backing
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of stop sign violation and driving without a license
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of stolen things
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft by shoplifting
  •       Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (language)
  •       Failure to appear warrant on the charge of domestic abuse battery

 

Darian Bridget, 23, 110 Martin Luther King Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 7, 2018 at 9:16 pm for aggravated flight from an officer and resisting arrest.

 

Kurwin Webb Jr., 24, 1019 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 7, 2018 at 10:26 pm for aggravated flight from an officer and resisting arrest.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted the Franklin Police Department with a vehicle pursuit that began in city limits of Franklin. Deputies pursued a vehicle, occupied by multiple individuals that fit the description of a vehicle being sought by the Jeanerette Police Department. Deputies pursued the vehicle at a dangerously high rate of speed from Franklin to the Burns Point area, where the vehicle crashed and suspects fled on foot. Through the investigation, deputies located Fullwood, Bridget, and Webb. Deputies found evidence that they were occupying the vehicle being pursued. Deputies also learned that Fullwood held active warrants for his arrest. Fullwood, Bridget, and Webb were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
