Arrest Report - June 14, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Devin Landry, 24, 993 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on June 13, 2018 at 7:02 pm for the following offenses:

  •      Domestic abuse battery
  •      Resisting an officer with force or violence
  •      Battery on a police officer
  •      Disarming of a police officer
  •      Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of Schedule I drugs (ecstasy) with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of Schedule IV drugs (Xanax) with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of legend drugs (hydroxyzine) with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of Schedule IV drugs (clonazepam) with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of Schedule II drugs (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute

A deputy patrolling Charenton responded to a disturbance at a residence on Chitimacha Trail. The deputy found evidence that Landry struck the victim several times during an altercation. Upon making contact with Landry, he became irate and refused to follow verbal commands. Landry attempted to disarm the deputy and also struck them before fleeing from the scene. Deputies located Landry at a nearby residence. Landry made attempts to flee and forcefully resisted deputies while being handcuffed. During a search of Landry’s person, deputies located several plastic bags of synthetic marijuana, pills, and methamphetamine. Landry was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

John Demarco, 28, 147 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 13, 2018 at 6:51 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  •      Possession of Schedule II drugs (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of Schedule IV drugs (alprazolam)
  •      Possession of Schedule I drugs (marijuana)
  •      Possession of drug paraphernalia

Narcotics Section detectives patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle travel across the center line on Middle Road. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with a passenger, Demarco. Detectives learned that Demarco held an active warrant for his arrest. Demarco was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

 

Kasidy Hebert, 17, 416 Southwest Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 13, 2018 at 11:36 pm was arrested for obstruction of justice, possession of Schedule I drugs (marijuana), and violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone).

 

Baleigh Rotolo, 19, 1017 Rosemary Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 13, 2018 at 11:36 pm was arrested for the following offenses:

  •      Obstruction of justice
  •      Possession of Schedule I drugs (marijuana)
  •      Possession of Schedule IV drugs (Xanax)
  •      Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone)

Narcotics Sections detectives patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle traveling on Field Road without a license plate light. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and observed a passenger toss an item out of the window. Detectives learned that the item was a bag of marijuana. Detectives made contact with two passengers, Rotolo and Hebert, and smelled an odor of raw marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, Detectives located loose marijuana in the immediate area where both Rotolo and Hebert were seated. Detectives also found evidence that Rotolo possessed a half Xanax pill. Hebert was released on a summons to appear in court on September 14, 2018. Rotolo was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.
