St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jeremy Perez, 25, 513 Lake Dauterive Road, Loreauville, LA was arrested on June 19, 2018, at 9:27 pm for simple escape. Perez escaped from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on Friday, June 15, 2018. With assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Perez was located and apprehended in Acadia Parish. Perez was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and transferred to another jurisdiction.

 

Nathan Mclain, 36, 123 Palmer Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on June 19, 2018, at 11:24 pm for the following offenses:

•      Domestic abuse battery by strangulation
•      Aggravated assault with a firearm
•      Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
•      Possession of drug paraphernalia

A deputy patrolling Centerville responded to a disturbance at a residence on Palmer Lane. The deputy found evidence that Mclain strangled and struck the victim several times. The deputy also learned that Mclain armed himself with a firearm during the course of the disturbance. Through further investigation, the deputy located marijuana and a pipe in the residence that belonged to Mclain. Mclain was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.
