St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 24 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Shelton Phillips, 22, 145 Georgetown Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 21, 2018, at 10:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended license and careless operation. Phillips was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from Lafayette Parish for booking. Phillips was released on a $500 bond.

 

Makenzie Marcotte, 20, 701 Main Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 21, 2018, at 10:54 am for careless operation and no insurance. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista responded to a crash that occurred in the parking lot near Walmart. The deputy found evidence that Marcotte struck another vehicle. Through the investigation, the deputy also learned that Marcotte was operating the vehicle without insurance. Marcotte was released on a summons with a court date of September 4, 2018.

 

Winn East, 55, 116 Railroad Alley, Gibson, LA was arrested on June 21, 2018, at 3:22 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Lortab. East was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from Terrebonne Parish for booking. No bail is set.

 

Jeannie Gamble, 40, 197 Megan Drive, Houma, LA was arrested on June 21, 2018, at 9:26 pm for domestic abuse battery. A deputy patrolling Amelia responded to a disturbance at the Amelia RV Park. The deputy observed Gamble yelling at the victim upon arrival. The deputy found evidence that Gamble struck the victim several times. Gamble was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.
