Arrest Report - July 16, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 121 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Juanita Landry, 52, 101 Hendrick Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 13, 2018, at 8:28 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended license, operating a vehicle with an expired license plate, and expired motor vehicle inspection. A deputy responded to an unrelated call for service and made contact with Landry on Hendrick Street. The deputy learned of an active warrant for Landry’s arrest. Landry was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Landry was released on a $500 bond.

 

Isidoro Delacruz, 43, 155 Aucoin Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 14, 2018, at 4:03 am on the following charges:

-   Possession of marijuana

-   Unlawful production/manufacturing/distribution of fraudulent documents

-   Possession of a controlled dangerous substance by fraud

 

Deputies patrolling Amelia responded to a welfare concern at a local business. Through the investigation, deputies executed a search warrant at the residence occupied by Delacruz. During the search, deputies located marijuana, several fraudulent identification cards, and also found evidence that Delacruz used fraudulent documents to obtain medication. Delacruz was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Heather Banda, 41, 4250 ½ South Rhett Avenue, North Charleston, SC was arrested on July 15, 2018, at 2:01 am on the following warrants:

-   Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

-   Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

-   Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

 

A deputy patrolling Amelia made contact with Banda on Lake Palourde Road. Upon making contact with Banda, the deputy learned of active warrants for her arrest. Banda was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $15,479.24.

 

Juvenile Male, 14, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 15, 2018, at 4:05 am for the following offenses:

-   Vehicle Burglary

-   Ungovernable juvenile

-   Curfew violation

-   Resisting an officer by false information

-   Resisting by force

-   Unlawful possession of tobacco by a person under 18

-   Possession of a stolen firearm

-   Illegal carry of a weapon

 

A deputy patrolling the area of Patterson responded to Daphine Street for a vehicle burglary in progress. The deputy made contact with the victim and the juvenile suspect outside of the residence. The deputy learned that the victim caught the juvenile male inside of his vehicle. Through the investigation, the deputy found evidence that the juvenile was in possession of a stolen firearm and tobacco. While placing the juvenile in handcuffs, the juvenile pulled away forcefully and made attempts to provide a false name and date of birth. The juvenile was released to his guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Brad Ackman, 39, 507 Roderick Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 15, 2018, at 4:11 pm for driving under suspension and improper lane usage. A deputy patrolling the area of Berwick observed a vehicle cross the center line while traveling on Highway 182. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Ackman. The deputy found evidence that Ackman was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Ackman was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.

 

Zacharia Robertson, 23, 311 Rod Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 16, 2018, at 12:02 am for possession of marijuana, no driver’s license, and no taillights. A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182, near Penn Road, without taillights. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Robertson. Upon making contact with Robertson, the deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy located a small bag of marijuana and learned that Robertson was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. Robertson was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Linda Washington, 54, 3048 19th Street, Port Arthur, TX was arrested on July 13, 2018, at 3:42 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics Section detectives patrolling Four Corners observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway of Dumesnil Road. Detectives made contact with the driver, Washington. Detectives observed a cellophane baggie inside the vehicle and a knife in Washington’s hand. During a search of the vehicle, detectives located marijuana, cocaine, plastic baggies, and rolling papers. Washington was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

O’Quinn Lockett, 31, 10611 Highway 182, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 13, 2018, at 4:20 pm for obstruction of justice, resisting an officer by force, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Narcotics Section detectives patrolling the area of Baldwin observed a vehicle fail to use a turning signal at the intersection of Bollard Street and Highway 83. Through the course of the stop, detectives made contact with a passenger, Lockett. Lockett made attempts to forcefully pull away from detectives while being detained. Detectives observed a plastic bag fall from Lockett’s person and him attempt to kick the bag away. The bag contained methamphetamine. Lockett was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Lockett was released on a $4,000 bond.
