Arrest Report - July 17, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

William Brubaker, 37, 2748 Robley Avenue, Maurice, LA was arrested on July 16, 2018, at 8:59 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of psilocybin, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brubaker was transported from the Lafayette Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Brubaker was released on a $750 bond.

 

Justin Bourgeois, 45, 284 Cane Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on July 16, 2018, at 10:57 pm for battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and possession of methamphetamine. Patrol Section deputies, along with the K-9 Section, patrolling Centerville responded to Cane Road to execute an order of protective custody. Deputies made contact with Bourgeois. While speaking with Bourgeois, deputies observed him make an attempt to conceal a small baggie of methamphetamine. Bourgeois became irate and fought with deputies. K-9 Buddy was deployed to assist with apprehending Bourgeois. Bourgeois was transported to a local hospital for treatment and booked at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after being discharged. No bail is set.
