Arrest Report - July 25, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Shane Daigle, 48, 719 Clark Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 24, 2018, at 7:39 am for leash law violation. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista responded to an animal complaint on Carol Road. The deputy made contact with Daigle and found evidence that his dog was roaming the neighborhood without leash. Daigle was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.

 

Tanya Givens, 40, 5058 N. Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, LA was arrested on July 24, 2018, at 9:40 am for driving under suspension and no insurance. A deputy patrolling Centerville responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 90E near Highway 317. The deputy made contact with the driver, Givens. The deputy found evidence that Givens lost control of the vehicle after a blowout. Through the investigation, the deputy learned that Givens was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and without insurance. Givens was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.

 

Paulina Boles, 37, 205 John Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 24, 2018, at 4:36 pm for speeding and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy patrolling Sorrell observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 182. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Boles. The deputy also learned of an active warrant for Boles arrest. Boles was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Boles was released on a $750 bond.

 

Ricky Simon, 60, 108 Romero Lane, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 24, 2018, at 8:23 pm for driving while intoxicated and improper lane usage. Deputies patrolling the Baldwin area responded to the area of Highway 182 near Ralph Darden to assist Baldwin Police Department Officers with a reckless driver complaint. Deputies learned that while traveling on Highway 182, the vehicle swerved in and out of the lane of travel and struck the side of the Baldwin Bridge. Deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Simon. While speaking with Simon, deputies could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. A deputy conducted standardize field sobriety and Simon performed poorly. Simon was transported to the Franklin Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilyzer 9000. Simon’s blood alcohol content was 0.198g%. Simon was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $2,750.

 

John Boyd Jr., 19, 122 Alexander Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 24, 2018, at 11:44 pm for driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling St. Joseph observed a vehicle traveling with improper license plate lighting. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Boyd. Through the investigation, the deputy learned that Boyd was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Boyd was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.

 

Gregory Douglas, 31, 405 Rosebud Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 25, 2018, at 4:05 am for driving under suspension and failure to use turn signal. A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal at the intersection of Yokley Road and Highway 182. The deputy made contact with the driver, Douglas. The deputy learned that Douglas was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Douglas was released on a summons to appear in court on October 5, 2018.
