Arrest Report - August 3, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Louis Berryhill, 49, 7905 Highway 182, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 2, 2018, at 12:31 pm for domestic abuse battery. Through the investigation, the deputy learned that Berryhill was involved in a physical altercation with the victim at a residence located in the 7900 block of Highway 182 in Franklin. The deputy found evidence that Berryhill shoved and struck the victim. Berryhill was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Berryhill was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Timothy Troung, 23, 173 Village Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on August 2, 2018, at 10:03 pm for three counts of simple battery. Deputies patrolling Amelia were dispatched to a medical facility for a battery complaint. Through the investigation, deputies found evidence that Troung struck his children, leaving bruises. Troung was released on a summons to appear in court on November 13, 2018.

 

Juvenile male, 15, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2018, at12:18 am for curfew violation.

 

Juvenile male, 13, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 3, 2018, at 1:45 am for curfew violation.

 

Juvenile male, 14, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2018, at 1:45 am for curfew violation, resisting arrest, and criminal trespassing.

 

Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to the area of Venus Street and Highway 182 for a suspicious person(s) complaint. Deputies were told that juvenile subjects were riding bicycles around the area, possibly burglarizing vehicles. While searching the area, deputies came into contact with two juveniles on Venus Street. Both juveniles were seen riding bicycles without reflecting lights. Deputies observed a third juvenile on Jupiter Street. Upon attempting to make contact with the juvenile, he fled on foot, running through several residential yards. Deputies ultimately made contact with the juvenile male at his residence. All three juveniles were placed under arrest and released into the custody of their guardians, pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Brandi Thibodeaux, 31, 409 Bourque Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on August 1, 2018, at 1:57 pm on a warrant for failure to appear warrant on the charge of possession of synthetic cannabinoids. Thibodeaux was transported from the Lafayette Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Thibodeaux was released on a $2,500 bond.
