St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kegan Clements, 28, 311 Grey Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on August 7, 2018, at 10:09 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to comply with tiller outboard engine cutoff and careless operation of a watercraft. Deputies patrolling the Charenton area responded to an unrelated complaint. Through the investigation, deputies made contact with Clements and learned of an active warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Rodrick Hunter, 27, 500 Knight Road, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 7, 2018, at 2:56 pm on four warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

•      Simple battery
•      Illegal possession of stolen things
•      Introducing or possessing contraband in a parish prison or jail
•      Aggravated flight from an officer where human life is endangered
•      Possession of hydrocodone
•      Possession of drug paraphernalia
•      Resisting an officer
•      Operating a vehicle without a license
•      Improper turn

Hunter was transported from the Lafayette Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Chantal Burke, 24, 521 Tiffany St. Patterson, LA was arrested on August 7, 2018, at 4:17 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

•      Careless operation of a vehicle
•      Possession of drug paraphernalia
•      Possession of marijuana

Burke turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse and was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.
